For spay/neuter assistance:
If we have a vet set up in your area we will ask that you use that vet. If not, we need your vet contact info below. We will contact the vet to be sure the procedures they use are what we expect and make financial arrangements. A discounted rate may be negotiated. We may pay all or part of the discounted rate. You will need the certificate we send you to get that rate and to have our program pay on your bill. Typically we pay $50 on normal neuters; $100 on cryptorchids; $75 for juvenile spays, $100 for adult spays. In all procedures the pigs must be fully under anesthesia (no farm neuters or local anesthetic neuters) ) and isoflourine or other appropriate gas must be used for females. Also we request for adult females that pain meds be given before release on the day after surgery. A minimum of one night of hospitalization is requested for adult females.
Additional charges for pregnancy are limited and trimming feet / tusks or other procedures are the responsibility of the owner.
