August 2003 Susie and Mr Jingles

A kind hearted lady took these two pigs in when their owner decided he didn’t want them any more. She found our literature at the feed store and fixed a small pen and provided the proper food .She knew they needed altering and she was unable to pay for it... She called and we arranged the spay and neuter in July for them. On August 10 we put up the new fence. In a few weeks we will put up a little barn for the winter. At present they will have only a tarp, which is what they have had up until now for shelter.

Old fenced area was small and rocky with no grazing available, with tarps over branches for shelter
from the storms.

The pigs leave the old pen, while I take down a tarp.

The new fence is dog safe and pig proof and durable.
The new area has plenty of grass and shrubs and trees and a pond in the center with lots of frogs to entertain the piggies on the long summer nights.

This project was revisited in Oct of 2003 to add a good warm winter house and a few additional panels for more grazing.
