Chester

is a “common” Yorkshire hog, 2 years old and about 800 pounds. Still growing some he will be about Volkswagen size soon. He was being raised as food when a neighbor  saw him and fell for him, as some of us do, “hook, line and sinker”!

What is your “ value” ? Guess it depends on who loves you. This piggy brought about the price of a small herd because Edgar, his friend, was determined to save him. For all his great love for Chester, Edgar didn't know that he needed space to grow in. But he did know Chester was needing something and sought help for him.

Chester was unable to walk when we brought him here..he simply never had any space to build his muscles in the 2 years he was growing.  Now Chester resides in a herd of big pigs here where he lopes up and down the hillsides and basks in the sun with the best of them.

Visitors are always entranced by Chester’s docile nature and his massive size. I always hope they will think twice, after meeting Chester, about their choice of breakfast foods..
