Belle

Belle came to us a couple of weeks after she had been attacked by dogs, Ears shredded, maggots and infection everywhere. She was too fat to see and her ears too infected to hear. Old sutures with infection under them and the hot August days filled out the nightmare for this poor piggy.  My vet looked her over and commented that he had seen worse and that with care she would survive.

Survive she did, though it was a long way to healing for this big girl. She had only one positive response in the long days of medical care and that was to a friend who visited here. His voice brought a wag to her tail and a movement toward his hand for a pet. When recovered she went home with him to live in the small herd that he and his wife have of special care piggies.. There she is truly Belle of the Ball, loved by her friends and secure in the knowledge that she is safe.
