Pig Placement Network                       

Below is a by state list of rescues and sanctuaries that assist in placement, education and other pig issues. It is a very large chart and will take a while to load. Be patient.
This list is constantly being updated. It is sorted by state, then by city. Some of these contacts take pigs, most help in transport, fostering, placement, referrals  and can give you information on pig care. Many have pigs available for adoption. You can also find pigs for adoption on www.Petfinder.org.
If you are trying to place a pig in a new home be very careful of where he is placed. While we have every reason to believe all the places listed here are ethical and knowledgeable in pig care we have not personally visited them. Always  visit a new home or sanctuary yourself before placing your special friend in its care. Your pig's life may depend on it.
For references, call the Humane Society in the area or ask for their vet's name and ask him/her if its a good place. Call the American Sanctuary Association and ask what they have heard about the place. And ask the sanctuary manager for details and references. Ethical places will be glad to provide photos and references.  We understand how hard it is to find a good home for a piggy and how hard it is on pigs to be relocated. Be sure you are placing your friend in the right place to live out his days. Sanctuaries can be good or bad, go look for yourself at where you are placing your friend. Call other places on this list for references.
