Moose

Moose was picked up on the streets of Cartersville Georgia, oblivious to the traffic and noise. He was about 6 months old. After he made his mandatory stop at the vet's surgery I noticed that he ignored me even more than the others did. (It's a pig trick to keep you humble). I had to go find him to get him to come in for meals. I finally realized he's totally deaf. Since then I've noted that all the white pigs have some degree of deafness which increases with age. But Moose is content with life, lumbering along in his "moose like" gait. He repeatedly tried to take the herd leader's position from Dudley when he was young, but, unsuccessful, he settled down to being just one of the gang. Moose is 4 years old in 2000.
